Takes Deep Breath: I’m Temporarily Breaking Up with Coffee for Water Only Friend…
Have you ever had a moment when you’re clutching your cup of coffee and start wondering, “Am I running on caffeine fumes or actual energy?” Well, that’s where I’m at. And with my birthday just around the corner **clears throat** April 17th, I’ve decided it’s time to do something a little disciplined for myself. This year, I want to feel my best, not just function at a basic level. So, here we go: I’m pressing pause on my coffee addiction and embarking on a water-only binge. Yes, friend.
Why water? Well, let’s be real, it’s the ultimate OG of benefits, hydrating, cleansing, and literally essential for life. Coffee, on the other hand, has been my morning crutch and morning fuel. But I’ve realized that leaning on it so hard has left me feeling more drained than energized. My body deserves a reset. I deserve a reset.
Let me tell you, this isn’t going to be easy. Coffee and I go together real bad. I love the way it warms me up during my morning gardening sessions, never been an iced coffee girlie and how it smells like comfort and productivity! But I’m trading in those feelings for something even better: clear skin, better sleep, and energy that doesn’t come with a hard crash at the end of the day.
So here’s the plan: from now until my birthday, it’s water-only for me. I’m committing to giving my body the hydration it needs and letting it work its magic. Will I miss my morning cup of joe? Abso—fucking—lutely. But I’m also excited to see how I feel when April rolls around.
If you’ve ever thought about cutting back on coffee (or soda, or juice… whatever your vice may be), maybe now’s the time to join me friend. We can hold each other accountable, share tips, and see just how amazing we can feel when we give our bodies what they truly need.
Wish me luck—and if you’re in, let me know! We’ve got this. Cheers to feeling our best!
Xoxo, Drea
