I see people say things like, “Y’all will cut off a friend in a heartbeat but never leave that man.” And every time, I want to say… STFU. Because what? LOL

Let’s be real friend. If you have a major character flaw, you’re outta here. Simple. No dramatic fallout, no last straw needed. You don’t have to betray me, lie to me, or do something wild for me to wake up one day and choose me.

And that’s what people don’t understand, choosing yourself doesn’t require a grand moment. It doesn’t need a villain. Sometimes, it’s just clarity. A realization that you’ve outgrown a friendship, that the energy isn’t mutual, or that it simply doesn’t serve you anymore.

It’s not about picking a man over a friend or loyalty vs. love. It’s about alignment. And friend, I’m choosing me every time.
